Decided to move to Estonia!

My love for Estonia, began 6 years ago. In August 2010, when I was 18 years old, I started a new chapter of my life, as I decided to go study abroad in Denmark. A couple of days after I arrived in this beautiful Scandinavian country, in the common garden of my dormitory, I met a guy who was going to study at the same university and live in the same place as I was.

Only a short period of time passed, and my heart was conquered by my mysterious neighbour. Now, guess where, he comes from… Estonia, of course! Long story short, my mysterious neighbour and I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary, in September. That’s how charming Estonians are, so girls, pay attention! Hehe!

A memory from our wedding
A memory from our wedding

Many of our holidays were spent travelling either to Tallinn, either to Bucharest (my lovely home city) and this is how I started falling in love with this chic, little country. And now, 6 years later, we decided to give life in Estonia a try, so we will be moving from Aarhus to Tallinn at the end of July. Am I excited? Yeah! Am I scared? Hell, yeah! I kept thinking about how easy it was for me to move to Denmark 6 years ago. As I was so young, I had no fears and no worries; all I could think of was the fun experience of studying abroad waiting for me. Now, on the other hand, I feel like there are so many things to consider and balance, so many things to take care of, so many fears, so many expectations… oh this list could be endless. We have thought about this decision very carefully and we have considered a lot of aspects, but in the end we realised that we just have to go for it, try it out and see what happens!

All in all, I am sure Estonia holds for us as many adventures as Denmark did and I hope Tallinn will be an amazing home.
